Recipe: Indian Meatballs in Creamy Tomato Sauce

1. Because Indian food is awesome (and the husband’s favorite!)
2. Oh wow it’s paleo too!
3. Cmon. Who doesn’t like meatballs? Even vegans make vegan meatballs!
4. The best tomato sauce is creamy tomato sauce!!! ❤️

But alas, I’m not as good as ze esposo in cooking ground beef/pork. So I shall save this for him.

Today, it’s Naked Taco for lunch haha I give simple imbento dishes funny names para fun! Naked Taco is just the taco beef and veggies without the taco shell. I serve it with rice or sweet potatoes heehee

When I posted a photo of the Indian meatballs that I cooked for the kids the other night I had a lot of requests from my friends for the recipe.

This is so yummy. Claudia, Jean (Claudia’s bf) & Vinny loved it. Vinny ate 3 meat balls while Claudia and Jean ate 4 each! And Claudia was still looking for any left overs the following day.

So, here it is.

Indian Meatballs in Creamy Tomato Sauce


500 g ground beef

1/4 cup cilantro

1 tbsp garam masala – you can find this in Rustan’s grocery in the spices section.

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 minced onion

1 can chopped tomatoes

1 cup coconut milk

1 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp ginger powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp yellow mustard powder

1/2 ts salt, pepper to taste
